where do the candidates for Pennsylvania governor stand on

ENDing LEGALIZED BRIBERY?

Pennsylvania’s elected officials receive unlimited gifts from lobbyists  !

When lobbyists give vacations, season tickets, golf weekends, food and drink and who-knows-what to legislators it is LEGALIZED BRIBERY, plain and simple! And almost none of it is reported.

So, we asked all the candidates for Governor whether they will BAN GIFTS.

THESE CANDIDATES SAID THEY WOULD SUPPOrt a gift ban:

Doug Mastriano supports a Gift Ban!

Lou Barletta supports a Gift Ban!

Josh Shapiro supports a Gift Ban!

Joe Gale supports a Gift Ban!

Joe Soloski supports a Gift Ban!

Christina DiGiulio supports a Gift Ban!

THIS CANDIDATE IS ACTUALLY THE ONLY CANDIDATE WITH POWER TO END THIS BRIBERY RIGHT NOW, Senator Jake Corman (President of the Senate), and he says….

WE ASKED THESE CANDIDATES (4 TIMES!) TO STAND UP AND SAY “NO” TO LEGALIZED BRIBERY.

THIS SHOULD NOT BE A HARD QUESTION. SO FAR, THEY’VE SAID NOTHING AT ALL!

MarchOnHarrisburg is pushing for the General Assembly to pass a Gift Ban. These “gifts” are the lowest-hanging rotten fruit in our corrupted state government. We want our politicians to end this legalized bribery and take this important first step in restoring trust in our government. We are asking candidates for Governor and for the General Assembly to tell us if they support the Gift Ban and tell us what other anti-corruption/pro-democracy reforms they will support. You can help by joining with your neighbors in contacting State Senate and State House candidates where you live.

MarchOnHarrisburg is nonpartisan and does not endorse any of the above candidates (or any political candidates) regardless of their responses to the Democracy Page requests.

The Democracy Page project serves to change the narrative around corruption in Harrisburg, hold candidates accountable to their campaign promises, and make democracy an election issue.
