Bring A Moral Call for a Gift Ban to House Majority Leader Bradford!

In this moment of political urgency, it can feel hard to know where to focus our energy and how to effectively make change. In Pennsylvania, it is effectively legal to bribe politicians, which means that our public officials are responding to money and not to the people and our human needs.

MarchOnHarrisburg is fighting to rid our civic temples of corruption and to preserve democracy through a Gift Ban bill. As a member organization of the PA Poor People’s Campaign, we understand the narrative and moral power that people of faith and clergy hold. We’re gathering as faith leaders to disrupt business as usual in the House Majority Leader Matt Bradford’s home office in Montgomery County – demanding he take action on the Gift Ban!

Join us to deliver a letter in person, sing some songs, and get some media attention along with a cadre of faith leaders and others, bringing our moral clarity to the work of preserving democracy.

Schedule:

Thurs 5/15 at noon -- Zoom planning call for several actions escalating the pressure on Matt Bradford, join us if you can!

Thurs 5/29 at 9:30 am -- Meet at Blossom Cafe, inside Floral and Hardy [4007 Skippack Pike, Skippack, PA 19474] to prepare for the action and get to know each other.

Around 10:30, we'll head over to his district office! [2000 Bustard Road, Suite 6, Cedars, PA 19423]

Harrisburg Protest: Hold State Legislators Accountable, Demand they Protect Democracy & Pass a Gift Ban

No town halls? No replies? We're going to Harrisburg and confronting Legislators face-to-face.

As the corporate takeover continues to worsen at the federal level, we need to do our part here in Pennsylvania and get money out of politics. Leaders in Harrisburg need to pass a commonsense Gift Ban that 47 other states already have.

We're going to send a message to both Democrat and GOP leadership that we are not giving up our fight to convince our state government to do the right thing: take a stand against corruption and Pass a Gift Ban.
