Holding All Power Holders Accountable: Week 2

Holding All Power Holders Accountable

Every Monday in March | 7-8:30PM, Virtual

Are you committed to advocating across all lines of division and holding those in power accountable? The Pennsylvania Poor People's Campaign invites you to join our 5 week course, starting March 3rd at 7 PM! This course will meet each Monday during March from 7-8:30PM.

We will be covering the basics of the PA legislature:

  • Leadership positions

  • Reading and analyzing a bill

  • Setting and preparing for meeting with legislators

  • Researching your legislator

We know the political system is not designed for the poor and working class and instead legislators are incentivized by the ruling class to move the billionaire agenda–rather than the people’s agenda.

Course Outline:

Monday, March 3rd, 7pm: Introduction to the Course, Political Independence as the PA PPC

Monday, March 10th, 7pm: How the Legislature Works

Monday, March 17th, 7pm: Researching power-holders

Monday, March 24th, 7pm: How to read & analyze a bill

Monday, March 31st, 7pm: How to prepare and set a meeting with legislators
